What this grade is for
Natural and processed lump material for steelmaking, non-ferrous smelting, ferroalloys, and other flux applications.
Lumps are a practical choice when the buyer wants coarse feed, lower dust, and a simpler charging path without converting the material into powder first.
- Steelmaking and non-ferrous fluxing where coarse feed is preferred.
- Ferroalloy and metallurgical charging applications.
- Buyers who want a natural or processed lump form with published grade options.
Published specification guidance
Use the table below as a buyer-facing starting point. Final chemistry, moisture, particle size, packaging, and inspection terms should still be confirmed in the sales contract.
Published lump ranges| Grade | CaF2 | Notes |
|---|
| High-end | 90% / 93% / 95% / 97% / 98% | Used when purity is the main buying filter. |
| Normal | 75% / 80% / 85% | Suitable where process tolerance is wider. |
| Impurity options | Low sulphur and phosphorus options | Ask for the specific limit if the melt or reaction is sensitive. |
Buyer checklist
Before you issue an RFQ, make the request precise enough for the plant and the logistics team to quote the same thing.
- Confirm whether the buyer wants natural or processed lumps.
- State the target CaF2 band and the maximum impurity levels.
- Explain the furnace or smelting process so the seller can quote the right lump behavior.
- Include size range, inspection terms, and destination port in the RFQ.
